Until now, the Jeonbuk Provincial Council has urged the National Assembly to promptly pass the Special Investigation Act for Corporal Chae through proposals and resolutions.

Chairman Moon Seung-woo stated, "It is deeply regrettable that the truth has not been uncovered even though a year has passed since Corporal Chae died in the line of duty. We have set up this memorial space hoping that many residents will join in paying their respects."

Meanwhile, in Namwon, Corporal Chae’s hometown, a 'Chae Marine Corps Memorial and Special Investigation Act Rejection Protest Cultural Event' will be held at 7 p.m. on the 18th at Yechon Square, organized by about 30 local civic groups.
