iMarket Korea's U.S. subsidiary, iMarket America (hereinafter IMA), announced on the 17th that the comprehensive development plan submitted to Taylor City, Texas for the creation of the Gradiant Technology Park complex advanced industrial complex was unanimously approved at last week's Public Hearing hosted by the Planning & Zoning Commission.
IMA's comprehensive development plan is known to include industrial spaces such as logistics warehouses, advanced industry-related manufacturing and production facilities, and R&D centers, along with various convenience facilities. It is expected that the city council approval will be obtained by August if the current process continues. Subsequently, all necessary permits for the first phase construction of approximately 100,000 pyeong of land will be completed within this year, and it is anticipated that groundbreaking will proceed smoothly by the end of this year or early next year as originally planned.
iMarket Korea and IMA are actively strengthening cooperative relationships with relevant agencies including the U.S. federal government, the State of Texas, and local governments. CEO Nam In-bong attended the ‘2024 Select USA Summit’ hosted by the U.S. federal government in June.
He discussed close cooperation with officials from the State of Texas, Williamson County, Taylor City, and companies considering local entry. Vice President Kim Hak-jae confirmed interest and support for mutual cooperation in developing the advanced industrial complex during Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s visit to Korea.
IMA has completed the master plan for the creation of a complex advanced industrial park on approximately 260,000 pyeong of land in Taylor City, Texas, and plans phased expansion development starting with about 100,000 pyeong in the first phase. The complex advanced industrial park will provide customized total solutions including industrial materials, supply, and logistics services tailored for tenant companies.
