Psick University Donates Goods Worth 50 Million Won to Flood Victims in Yeongyang County

The YouTube channel 'Psick Univ' (comedians Kim Minsu, Lee Yongju, and Jung Jaehyung) has donated goods worth approximately 50 million KRW to households in Ibang-myeon, Yeongyang-gun, which suffered flood damage due to a sudden heavy downpour.

Pisik University donated in-kind goods worth 50 million won to households in Ibam-myeon, Yeongyang-gun.

Yeongyang-gun, North Gyeongsang Province, experienced significant damage from a sudden torrential rainstorm that began on the night of the 7th, with a maximum rainfall of 290mm in Ibang-myeon and an average of 227mm. The storm caused damage to 82 public facilities and 403 private properties, and over 110 residents evacuated to community centers, neighboring homes, and local health centers.

In particular, in Geumhak-ri and Daecheon-ri of Ibang-myeon, where the rainfall was especially heavy, about 50 residents were evacuated around 3 a.m. on the 8th. Landslides, flooding, and disruptions to water and electricity services left most of the village submerged. Five households were swept away by mud and became unrecognizable, while 16 households suffered flood damage.

Upon hearing the news, the 'Psick Univ' team donated essential home appliances urgently needed by affected families, including 23 refrigerators, 5 washing machines, 25 fans, 25 rice cookers, and 3 televisions. Their support delivered warmth and comfort to Yeongyang-gun residents who had lost their homes overnight and were in despair.
