Cheonan City Conducts Comprehensive Survey of 89 One-Way Streets Cheonan City, Chungnam Province, will conduct a comprehensive survey of 89 one-way streets within its jurisdiction.

Cheonan City in Chungnam will conduct a comprehensive survey of 89 one-way roads in the region.


This investigation is being carried out to prevent incidents like the recent accident at Seoul City Hall Station on the 1st, where a wrong-way traffic accident resulted in multiple casualties. A joint inspection team will be formed and operated in cooperation with related organizations such as the Road Traffic Authority and the police station.


The inspection targets include 57 locations in Dongnam-gu, such as Soonchunhyanggil, Cheonancheon Park-gil, and Meokgeorigil, as well as 32 locations in Seobuk-gu, including Dujung Sangga-gil, Seongjeong Park-gil, and Geomeundeul-gil.


The inspection team will focus on checking and improving or supplementing road signs and pavement markings indicating no entry for drivers on one-way roads, pedestrian safety fences, and other traffic safety facilities.


Park Sangdon, Mayor of Cheonan, stated, "As the safety of our citizens is our top priority, we will strive to create a safer traffic environment by inspecting all one-way roads, maintaining traffic safety facilities, and addressing risk factors."
