The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency partnered with nine companies in the northern region to operate a market development team for the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), achieving significant results.
The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency achieved $9.86 million in export consultation results through the ‘2024 CIS Market Development Team’.
From the 8th to the 13th of this month, the agency operated the ‘2024 CIS Market Development Team’ in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, for six days to support the overseas market entry of small and medium-sized enterprises in northern Gyeonggi Province. A total of nine companies participated in this market development team.
The participating companies held 98 consultations with local buyers in Almaty and Bishkek, resulting in $9.86 million in export consultation achievements.
In particular, among the participating companies, Hyundong International Co., Ltd., located in Namyangju-si, attracted great interest from buyers with its jelly products. Hyundong International received a proposal from buyer K in Bishkek to produce 3D jelly using its own characters, and conducted export consultations worth a total of $1.26 million with 12 companies on site.
The agency is operating a Japan market development team until the 19th of this month to support the global expansion of small and medium-sized enterprises in northern Gyeonggi Province. Additionally, from September, market development teams will be dispatched to various regions including Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
