Dong-Eui Institute of Technology Staff Volunteer Group Shares 'Samgyetang of Love' for Chobok

President Kim Youngdo and Faculty Members Raise Funds Together
Support Provided for a Healthy Summer to 500 Local Seniors

The DIT Faculty and Staff Volunteer Group of Dong-Eui Institute of Technology (President Kim Youngdo) participated in the "9th Busanjin-gu 10,000 Bowls of Samgyetang Sharing" event on the 15th, carrying out volunteer activities to help local residents have a healthy summer.

This event, hosted by Junesarang Welfare Foundation, Busanjin-gu Senior Welfare Center, and Busanjin-gu Disabled Welfare Center, provided a special herbal Samgyetang meal to about 500 local seniors, offering a meaningful time to help them recover their energy and stay healthy during the heatwave.

President Kim Youngdo, who donated 2 million KRW to this event, said, "This Samgyetang sharing volunteer activity was carried out with the hope that seniors can spend the hot summer in good health," and added, "We will continue to fulfill the university's social responsibility by engaging in various social contribution activities for the development of the local community."

Established in 2008, the DIT Faculty and Staff Volunteer Group at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology has been carrying out various social contribution activities such as supporting meal centers and sharing kimchi and coal briquettes, using funds deducted from monthly staff salaries and donations to help low-income groups and seniors in welfare blind spots.
