Icheon-si Agricultural Theme Park to Become Barrier-Free Tourist Destination

Selected for Gyeonggi-do Consulting Support Project

'Icheon Agricultural Theme Park' in Eonong-ri, Moga-myeon, Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do is being transformed into a barrier-free tourist destination.

On the 16th, Icheon City announced that Icheon Agricultural Theme Park was selected on the 15th for the 'Barrier-Free Tourist Destination Consulting Support Project' promoted by the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization. This project is a consulting support initiative aimed at creating a sustainable barrier-free tourism environment for the maintenance of tourist resources within Gyeonggi Province.

Based on the positive responses regarding the installation of elevators within the park from a self-conducted survey of park visitors in March, the city has been promoting the barrier-free park development project.

With the selection for this support project, the city will receive consulting support for ▲ improving the physical accessibility of the park ▲ proposing specialized programs utilizing the park’s characteristics for tourists ▲ producing and distributing barrier-free tourism guide maps. The city plans to focus on minimizing damage to the park’s natural environment during the establishment of a barrier-free environment to provide a comfortable sanctuary for citizens.
