This year, the festival will be more vibrant and trendy than ever, taking place at Dadaepo Beach, a beautiful beach in western Busan that has traditionally seen fewer festivals.

The festival will feature a variety of programs designed to fully immerse visitors in the charms of Dadaepo’s midsummer sea, starting with the spectacular “Dadae Fireworks Show” set against the sunset and the energetic “Night Pool Party.”

On the 26th, the festival will kick off with the “Dadae Fireworks Show” and the “Night Pool Party,” allowing everyone to enjoy an even hotter summer night.

The “Dadae Fireworks Show” is a unique fireworks display held during the golden hour at Dadaepo Beach, famous for its sunsets. Themed “Memories,” symbolizing a bridge between past and present and a force moving toward the future, the show will light up the night sky for about 22 minutes starting at 8 p.m.

In addition, the festival’s killer content, the “Night Pool Party,” will take place from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the artificial pool at Dadaepo Beach as an all-standing live performance. This first-ever event at Dadaepo will feature hip-hop musicians Swings, Han Yohan, Be’O, and Paul Blanco, filling the beach with the passion of hip-hop.

On one side of the sandy beach, visitors can enjoy a variety of drinks such as beer and highballs, as well as food, at the “Dadae Pocha” beach bar, set against the romantic backdrop of Busan’s night sea.

There will also be citizen participation programs themed around “Busan, Summer, Sea,” selected through public contest, and various experience and participation programs that allow visitors to explore every corner of Dadaepo Beach, all running throughout the three-day festival.

On the 26th, a healing program for people with disabilities, “Barrier-Free Sea Festival,” will be held. On the 27th, there will be the “Open Sea Open Music Concert” for all generations to enjoy, and the “Dadaepo Beach Salsa Dance Festival” on the sand. On the 28th, the “Dadaepo Folk Rock Festival,” a music healing performance set against the Dadaepo sunset, will take place.

Wellness experience programs in the natural surroundings will also be available, such as “Sunset Yoga,” “Star Sea Busan Sunset Surfing,” and “Star Sea Busan Doggy Surfing” for those with pets, all requiring prior registration. Additionally, children can enjoy the DJ fountain party “Water Stage” at the Dadaepo Sunset Fountain of Dreams, and everyone can join the “Hidden Stage” camp picnic program at Blue Square, a hidden spot in the beach park.

On the 26th, the day of the opening ceremony, Dadaepo Beach will operate under a capacity control system for visitor safety, with one lane of Dadae-ro and public parking lots being restricted.

To prevent overcrowding, the number of people allowed on the beach will be limited to approximately 32,000. If this limit is exceeded, visitors will be guided to alternative viewing spots such as the Gouni Ecological Trail, which also offers views of the fireworks.

Furthermore, considering safety concerns due to narrow sidewalks near Dadaepo Station, one lane of Dadae-ro will be closed from 5 p.m. on the day, and access to three nearby public parking lots will be restricted from 4 p.m. The city strongly encourages festival participants to use public transportation, as parking facilities near the venue are extremely limited.

Park Geunrok, Director of Tourism and MICE at the city, stated, “This year’s Busan Sea Festival is designed with a variety of programs to showcase the unique charms of Dadaepo Beach, an emerging sunset spot and a hidden resort in Busan. We ask for the interest and participation of citizens and tourists alike. As this is a large-scale event in western Busan, we will do our utmost to ensure the safety of all visitors.”
