Strengthening AI Solutions... Enhancing Customer Convenience
7 to 8 Times Increase in Purchase Conversion Rate Effect
Kolon Industries FnC division announced on the 15th that it will strengthen its artificial intelligence (AI) solutions on its fashion platform, 'Kolon Mall.'
First, Kolon Mall will provide four additional pieces of information at the bottom of the product detail page: ▲AI recommended styles ▲Frequently viewed products together ▲Popular brand products ▲Products purchased together.
The AI recommended styles feature is a solution developed by Silicon Valley-based startup YESPLZ, which recommends similar styles in the same category as the product clicked by the customer, as well as styles with different colors, offering suggestions to customers.
The other three features apply solutions developed in-house by Kolon FnC. Kolon Mall confirmed that the introduction of this product recommendation service increased the overall purchase conversion rate (the ratio of customers who purchased compared to those who clicked on the product) by approximately 7 to 8 times.
They also introduced an AI shoe size recommendation solution. The AI-powered computer vision technology-based shoe size recommendation service, 'PerfitSize,' was implemented. PerfitSize measures the user's foot size and shape through a photo taken with a mobile phone and recommends the most suitable size using AI technology within the website.
In April, Kolon Mall conducted tests applying PerfitSize to a total of 285 shoe products from four brands: Kolon Sports, Suecomma Bonnie, Head, and Boldist. After tracking for three months, the average number of product views per customer who measured their foot size using the PerfitSize solution was about twice that of general users, and the 'Buy Now' button click conversion rate was also about three times higher. Kolon Mall plans to expand the application to shoe products of a total of five brands, including Archive Bank.
A Kolon Mall representative said, "The online platform environment is rapidly changing, and customers' expectations are also rising," adding, "Kolon Mall will actively introduce various AI-based solutions to provide convenience to customers and continuously increase customer lock-in by offering diverse brand experiences."
