Hwaseong-si Achieves $23.48 Million in Consultations at US Semiconductor Exhibition

Six Local Companies to Participate in '2024 Semicon West'

Hwaseong City, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 15th that it achieved consultation results worth $23.48 million (approximately 32.466 billion KRW) at the semiconductor exhibition '2024 Semicon West' held in San Francisco, USA, from the 9th to the 11th (local time).

Semicon West is a semiconductor specialized exhibition hosted by the Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI), featuring products related to semiconductor fields such as ▲manufacturing equipment and related components ▲Internet of Things ▲smart factory solutions.

The city organized the 'Hwaseong City Group Pavilion' at this exhibition, which included six companies based in Hwaseong City. The participating companies conducted 63 export consultations and achieved consultation results worth $23.48 million at the exhibition.

In particular, CN One Co., Ltd., which manufactures atomic layer deposition equipment, held meetings with university laboratories and semiconductor companies in the United States, resulting in export consultation results worth approximately $7.5 million. The city explained that exports worth about $2 million are expected to be finalized within this year.

Meanwhile, related events such as conferences were held alongside the exhibition, with many key professional buyers in the semiconductor field participating, which is evaluated to have helped expand opportunities for local small and medium-sized enterprises to enter the local market. A CN One representative said, "We plan to continue participating in exhibitions to increase awareness of our products and company."
