It was revealed on the 15th that an anonymous benefactor has been donating 10 million won each year to the Bisan 4-dong Administrative Welfare Center in Seo-gu, Daegu (headed by Sung Jeong-sook).
The anonymous donor, asking for care for vulnerable groups and low-income families in the Seo-gu area of Daegu, has donated a total of 40 million won since 2019, and this year has contributed an additional 10 million won.
The donor has consistently refused to reveal their identity, stating, "I want to help so that the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing," and has requested strict anonymity, avoiding any exposure through donation ceremonies or the media.
Daegu Seo-gu Office has used the funds donated by this benefactor through the Community Chest of Korea to support more than 2,000 low-income residents in Bisan 4-dong with kimchi sharing, meal side dish sharing, and emergency relief funds. This year's donation will also be fully allocated to support low-income residents in Bisan 4-dong, Seo-gu.
Sung Jeong-sook, head of Bisan 4-dong in Seo-gu, Daegu, said, "I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the benefactor who has practiced warm neighborly love by generously donating a total of 50 million won over several years," and added, "We will do our best to honor the donor's sincerity and actively promote a culture of sharing in the community."
