Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants to Hold the 11th ESG Certification Forum on the 26th

The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants (KICPA) announced on the 15th that it will hold the "11th ESG Certification Forum" in person on the 26th at the Diamond Hall on the 3rd floor of the FKI Tower Conference Center in Yeouido.

The "ESG Certification Forum" has been held since 2022 by KICPA, an expert organization in auditing and certification, to share the accounting industry's expertise on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) certification and to contribute to enhancing the transparency and reliability of ESG information.

This forum features lectures by the authors of "Practical ESG Disclosure - Let's Know This," published earlier this month by KICPA. There are a total of three sessions. Partner Junhyuk Yoo of Anjin Accounting Corporation, Director Seonghyeon Shin of Hanyoung Accounting Corporation, and Partner Junghwan Hwang of Samjong Accounting Corporation will lecture on "Key Contents of Global ESG Disclosure Standards." Partner Kyungmin Cha of Samil PwC Consulting will speak on "ESG Disclosure Data Management," and Partner Youngchang Yoon of Samil PwC Consulting will present on "Carbon Neutral Strategy Development and Performance Management."

Participants can pre-register for the forum through the pop-up and notice section on the KICPA website. After the forum, lecture videos will be uploaded to the KICPA Accounting Training Institute and YouTube channel.

Choi Un-yeol, President of KICPA, stated, "Accounting industry experts will introduce various specialized knowledge in ESG fields such as ESG disclosure and certification, and carbon neutral strategy development accumulated over many years in the field at this forum," adding, "We will continue to strive to help companies establish ESG management through diverse activities."

Meanwhile, KICPA is conducting various ESG projects including publishing popular ESG books, operating the ESG Certification Forum, introducing international certification standards, and running the ESG Academy.
