If Previous Month's Spending Exceeds 400,000 Won, 3 Free Airport Lounge Visits
Shinhan Card announced on the 15th the launch of the 'SOL Travel Credit Card,' which offers up to 2% rewards not only for premium overseas travel services but also for everyday use.
The SOL Travel Credit Card accumulates 0.5% of the lump-sum payment amount at overseas merchants as My Shinhan Points regardless of the previous month's spending performance. Accumulation is possible up to 50,000 points per month. Domestically, 0.5% of the payment amount at all merchants is accumulated as My Shinhan Points, and an additional 1.5% My Shinhan Points are provided in the areas of travel, transportation, shopping, dining, and exercise. The basic accumulation is provided regardless of the previous month's spending, and the additional accumulation is provided if the previous month's domestic spending exceeds 400,000 KRW. The basic·and additional accumulations combined can accumulate up to 50,000 points per month.
The SOL Travel Credit Card also offers benefits such as airport lounge access and preferential exchange rates. If the previous month's domestic spending exceeds 400,000 KRW, users can use the free access service to over 1,200 airport lounges worldwide up to three times a year. Through the SOL Travel foreign currency account, 100% preferential exchange rates and unlimited waiver of overseas ATM withdrawal fees are provided. Additionally, there is a Mastercard Travel Reward benefit that gives up to 10% cashback at over 400 merchants in 25 countries. Special interest rates of 2% per annum and 1.5% per annum are applied respectively to dollars and euros held in the foreign currency account after currency exchange.
A Shinhan Card official said, "We launched a card that strengthens domestic usage benefits so that customers can choose it not only when traveling abroad but also after the trip," adding, "We are preparing events for customers using the travel card (specialized overseas travel card) in the future and expect a lot of positive responses."
