Former U.S. President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was shot during a campaign rally on the 13th (local time), and within hours, 'Trump T-shirts' appeared both online and offline in the U.S. and China.

On the 14th, Hong Kong's South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported, "Less than two hours after former President Trump was shot, Chinese online retailers began selling commemorative T-shirts printed with a photo capturing the moment right after Trump survived the assassination attempt." Taobao seller Li Jinwei told SCMP, "As soon as I saw the news about the shooting, I listed the T-shirts on Taobao. Even before printing, we received over 2,000 orders from China and the U.S. within three hours." He added, "We can quickly produce and sell using digital printing technology."
Trump supporters 'Hoji Twins' uploaded Trump T-shirts to their shopping mall. They emphasized "Fight, fight, fight." The selling price is 48,000 KRW.
Some U.S. online stores also listed T-shirts featuring an image of former President Trump with a clenched fist, bleeding, against the backdrop of the American flag. Famous content creators, the Hodgetwins, posted the Trump T-shirt on X (formerly Twitter), stating, "100% of the proceeds from the sale of this shirt will go to the Trump campaign." The Hodgetwins are a U.S. stand-up comedy and conservative political commentary duo consisting of twin brothers Keith Hodge and Kevin Hodge. The T-shirt they posted is titled ‘Trump FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT T-Shirt’ and is being sold for $35 (approximately 48,000 KRW).
Another online store initially listed a T-shirt titled ‘Trump Assassination Attempt Defiant and Resolute Shirt’ at $25.59 but later changed the price to $22.95, roughly around 30,000 KRW. There was no detailed product description, but the label emphasized that it was made in the USA.
The T-shirt featuring a hastily created image of former President Trump at the time of the shooting emphasized "Made in U.S.A." at the bottom.
Similar products appeared on other sites with prices around $19.95 (about 27,000 KRW). This site provided a detailed product description. The store stated, "The Trump Defiant and Resolute Assassination Attempt Shirt has received significant attention following the shocking incident in Pennsylvania," adding, "This T-shirt features an iconic image symbolizing determination and unwavering spirit in the face of adversity." It further explained, "It shows a vivid image of former President Donald Trump raising his fist in resistance alongside his security guards, with the American flag prominently waving against a blue sky background. Printed in high resolution on a high-quality black cotton shirt, it guarantees both comfort and durability."
The store also said, "The clenched fist and the American flag are powerful symbols of resistance, patriotism, and unwavering resolve," and "The image on this T-shirt represents not only a moment of Trump's personal resilience but also a broader symbol of standing firm against adversity. The depicted scene signifies the courage, determination, and indomitable spirit of the leader and his supporters." The most important message was at the end. The site stated, "Owning this T-shirt is more than a fashion choice. It is a declaration of support for resilience and determination," urging, "Support this product to show solidarity and pride in the face of adversity," and "Buy the T-shirt today and wear it proudly to show the world that you stand strong like Trump."
