Seoul Auction Hosts Live and Online Auctions on 23rd and 24th
Offers Diverse Programs Including Wine Market and Related Lectures
Seoul Auction, which attracted attention in the first half of the year with real estate pre-sale rights auctions, will showcase a variety of luxury items including artworks, wine, and designer furniture in its first auction of the second half of the year.
Seoul Auction announced on the 14th that it will hold live and online auctions through the auction festival 'Art Life Balance' on the 23rd and 24th, allowing collectors to discover tastes and gain inspiration from diverse items. A total of 335 lots worth approximately 3.7 billion KRW will be offered over the two days.
The 'Day 1 Auction' on the 23rd will be conducted without on-site attendees, with bidding only via online, written, and telephone methods, and the auction progress will be broadcast live on the Seoul Auction website in a 'live auction' format. The auction will feature works by major domestic artists recently gaining market interest such as Jeon Gwang-young, Jung Young-joo, and Lee Bae, as well as edition works by Park Seo-bo and terracotta pieces by Lee Ufan, among various other artworks seeking new owners.
Additionally, terracotta works by Lee Ufan and yellow pumpkin pieces by Yayoi Kusama will be exhibited. Two double-sided paintings by No Eun-nim, known as the 'Painter of Life' for depicting uniquely innocent forms on large canvases, will attract attention. Works by internationally renowned artists such as Yayoi Kusama’s signature yellow pumpkin and Salvador Dal?’s dreamlike landscapes will also be auctioned.

The 'Day 2 Auction' will be accessible from 2 PM on the 24th via the Seoul Auction website. This auction will feature luxury items including designer furniture by Hans Wegner, and products from Hermes, Louis Vuitton, and Chanel. Items such as a bag from the collaboration between Yayoi Kusama and Louis Vuitton, a work created by Takashi Murakami using coffee filters left after brewing coffee, and rugs based on paintings by Ayako Rokkaku will also be available.
During the preview exhibition period, special events linked to the auction will be held. From the 19th to the 21st, a pop-up market by wine importer Narasella will take place in the lobby on the first floor of the Gangnam Center.
