"A Person's Life Reflects Their Lived History"
Cheongsong County in North Gyeongsang Province has been selecting one village each year since 2022 to interview seniors about their life stories, village history, and the transformation of Cheongsong, and to preserve these accounts as records.

In 2022, the project was held in Saeteo Village, Singi-ri, Pacheon-myeon; in 2023, in Ijeon Village, Jusanjiri, Juwangsan-myeon; and this year, it is scheduled to take place in Gyodong Village, Gwangdeok-ri, Jinbo-myeon.
An individual's life is inseparable from the social community. It is said that people form societies through various relationships, living while influencing and being influenced by one another.
The modern and contemporary oral history collection project in Cheongsong County includes not only the seniors' personal life stories but also their social experiences. This is why it is important to document Cheongsong's unique and fading stories through the memories of its elders.
County Governor Yoon Kyunghee stated, "In the wrinkles of our seniors, you can see the long journey they have walked in life," and added, "The county will continue to promote the oral history collection project of Cheongsong people, connecting the past, present, and future of Cheongsong."
