Samsung Invests $20 Billion in Pennsylvania; Biden Makes Another Verbal Slip

Samsung Confused About Investment Location... Repeats Verbal Slip
Trump: "Let's Take Cognitive Tests Together"

U.S. President Joe Biden, who is under pressure to give up his bid for re-election due to health and cognitive decline concerns, has once again expressed his determination to complete the presidential race.

Meanwhile, he repeatedly made verbal slips, including incorrectly stating the location of Samsung's investment in the United States.

On the 12th (local time), before a campaign rally in Detroit, President Biden met with voters in Northville, Michigan, reaffirming his intention to run in the presidential election by saying, "I am running for president, and we will win."

He emphasized, "I will not change this decision," and said he would "beat former President Donald Trump again."

Meanwhile, while boasting about attracting investments from Korean companies to the U.S., Biden said, "I asked Samsung, 'Why are you trying to invest 20 billion dollars (about 27 trillion won) in western Pennsylvania?'"

Samsung is currently expanding its Samsung SDI battery plant in Michigan (located in Auburn Hills), and building a Samsung Electronics semiconductor plant in Texas (located in Taylor), but it has neither invested in nor planned to invest in Pennsylvania.

President Biden amplified concerns about his cognitive abilities after stuttering and making off-topic remarks during the presidential candidate TV debate on the 27th of last month. Although he tried to turn things around at a press conference during the NATO summit the day before, he again made verbal slips, such as mistakenly calling Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy "Putin" at a prior event, failing to achieve his intended goal.

At a subsequent press conference, he mistakenly referred to Vice President Kamala Harris as "Vice President Trump," and while listing countries opposing the U.S., he said "South Korea" before immediately correcting himself with "I mean North Korea."

This year's U.S. presidential election is considered a historic high-age contest between 81-year-old President Biden and 78-year-old former President Trump. In particular, public opinion is spreading that Biden is physically and mentally unfit to serve as president due to his repeated verbal slips.

Former President Trump, seemingly aware of these controversies, appeared on the conservative radio program "Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show" on the 12th, stating, "My cognitive abilities are excellent and perfect, and I have been tested. I recently had a checkup, and it came out perfect," and suggested that President Biden take a cognitive test together with him.
