US Producer Price Index Up 0.2% in June Month-on-Month, Higher Than Expected

Core Producer Prices Also Rise 0.4% Compared to Previous Month

The U.S. Department of Labor announced on the 12th (local time) that the Producer Price Index (PPI) in the United States rose by 0.2% compared to the previous month.

This figure exceeds the Dow Jones consensus forecast of a 0.1% increase from the previous month. Compared to the same period last year, it rose by 2.6%.


The core producer price index, excluding energy and food, also increased by 0.4% from the previous month, surpassing the expert forecast of 0.2%. Compared to the same period last year, it rose by 3.0%.
