The police conducted a search and seizure on the 12th in connection with allegations of breach of duty by executives and employees of Seoul Metro.

On the morning of the same day, the Anti-Corruption Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency searched the contract department and mechanical department offices at the company's headquarters.

The police are investigating after determining that some executives and employees of the company engaged in corrupt practices during the mechanical supply contract process.

Last month, the Seongdong Police Station in Seoul searched the company headquarters' offices in relation to bribery allegations against three employees, including the head of the technical headquarters.

The company reported to the police suspicions that these individuals received golf entertainment and other favors from suppliers and suspended all of them from their positions last month.

A company official stated, "We will actively cooperate with the ongoing investigation related to this case and take action based on the results."
