Providing Customized Information to Adapt to Changes in the Admission Environment
The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 1st that it will hold the '2024 Gwangju Career and College Admission Fair' at the Kim Dae-jung Convention Center from the 19th to the 20th.
The '2024 Gwangju Career and College Admission Fair' was planned to provide high school students with customized career and college admission information in preparation for changes in the college entrance environment, such as the increase in medical school quotas.
In particular, 130 universities nationwide will participate, operating 182 booths, making it the largest college entrance fair held this year. Additionally, admissions officers and entrance exam experts will participate to provide college admission counseling.
On the 19th, Mr. Park Moon-su from Cheongwon Girls' High School, affiliated with the Korea Council for University Education and Seoul Career Education Association, will explain the '2025 College Entrance Early Admission Process,' followed by Mr. Yoon Jong-ho from Sunsim High School introducing the '2025 Medical and Pharmaceutical Fields Application Strategy.'
On the second day, the 20th, EBS representative instructor Mr. Yoon Yoon-gu will give a special lecture on 'Successful College Entrance Curating.'
Also, 60 specialized admission teachers will conduct one-on-one early college admission counseling on-site for 360 third-year high school students, and there will be ▲ mock interviews for third-year students on comprehensive student record screening jointly conducted by university admissions officers and teachers ▲ joint college entrance briefings by metropolitan area universities ▲ joint college entrance briefings by Gwangju and Jeonnam region universities ▲ university-specific college entrance briefings ▲ college entrance briefings for music, art, and physical education fields.
There will also be 40 booths introducing the curricula of each high school. Each high school will present ▲ cases of student-customized curriculum operation ▲ cases of autonomous public high school operation ▲ cases of specialized vocational high school curriculum operation ▲ guidance on elective subjects by department ▲ cases of operating Bitgoeul On School. In addition, one-on-one customized career counseling for students, career and entrepreneurship experience booths, and customized career special lectures will be operated.
Applications for one-on-one early college admission counseling, college entrance briefings, and special lectures conducted at the Gwangju Career and College Admission Fair can be made on the website starting from 9 PM on the 13th.
