From 7:30 AM to 7:30 AM Next Day... Childcare Fee 1,000 KRW per Hour

Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Bok-gyu) is receiving great response for its operation of the ‘24-Hour Daycare Center’.

According to Hwasun-gun on the 11th, the ‘Hwasun-type 24-Hour Daycare Center’ has been operating two locations (Hwasun Hanyang Lips Daycare Center and Hwasun Hillstate Daycare Center) since July last year to proactively respond to population decline and provide customized childcare that is good for raising children.

This is a customized childcare service system that allows parents to securely leave their children for the necessary amount of time when urgent care is needed due to parents’ nighttime economic activities, business trips, hospital visits, and so on.

The service is available for children aged 6 months to under 7 years old residing in Hwasun-gun, with a childcare fee of 1,000 KRW per hour and a monthly usage limit of 80 hours. It operates from 7:30 AM to 7:30 AM the next day.

Since its opening, the number of users over 10 months has been recorded at 386, and it has been found that users are steadily increasing not only in Hwasun-eup but also from distant areas.

Gu Bok-gyu, Governor of Hwasun-gun, said, “We will do our best to create an environment for operating the high-quality ‘Hwasun-type 24-Hour Daycare Center’ to improve satisfaction not only for children but also for childcare teachers.”
