'Mukbang YouTuber' Jjuyang Surpasses 10 Million Subscribers, Announces "200 Million Donation with Sponsors"

Plans to Donate Communication Fees for Elderly Living Alone Announced

'Mukbang YouTuber' Jjuyang donated 200 million KRW to the international relief and development organization World Vision to celebrate reaching 10 million subscribers. Of this, 100 million KRW was contributed by companies supporting Jjuyang's YouTube channel, including Themisik, Myeongnyunjinsagalbi, Sempio, Omma-ne Hanwoo, and Frank Burger. The donations from Jjuyang and the sponsoring companies will be used for global food crisis response projects and domestic support programs for children vulnerable to poor nutrition.

On the 9th, at World Vision headquarters in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, Jjuyang, who delivered the donation, was also appointed as a member of the high-value donor group called the 'Bob Pierce Honor Club.' Named after the founder of World Vision, the 'Bob Pierce Honor Club' is a group for donors who have contributed over 100 million KRW cumulatively and who actively promote empathy for various global issues and the value of sharing. On the same day, Jjuyang visited the World Vision Seoul Western Business Headquarters and participated in 'Love Lunchbox,' a program where lunchboxes are packed and delivered directly for children at risk of food insecurity in Korea.

Jjuyang said, "It is even more meaningful to be able to donate together with my subscribers as a way to repay the love I have received so far. I was surprised to learn that there are still many children both domestically and abroad who skip meals and suffer from food shortages, and I will continue to work harder to help them." Jjuyang’s volunteer activities and donation delivery can be seen on his YouTube channel on the 14th. Additionally, Jjuyang announced plans to carry out a telecommunications fee donation project for isolated elderly living alone in the future.
