Visited National Assembly to Address Residents' Long-standing Projects
Met with Lawmakers Shin Sungbeom, Kim Taeho, and Jung Hyekyung
Requested Support for Inclusion of Key Projects in Government Budget
Lee Seunghwa, the governor of Sancheong County in Gyeongnam, is making every effort to secure funding for next year's growth engines. On the 10th, Sancheong County announced that Governor Lee and others visited the National Assembly to resolve long-standing local residents' projects.
This visit to the National Assembly was carried out to request support from lawmakers so that Sancheong County's key projects can proceed without setbacks, as the Ministry of Economy and Finance has begun reviewing next year's national budget proposals submitted by various government ministries.
On this day, Governor Lee visited local lawmakers, including Shin Sungbeom, the district's representative, as well as Kim Taeho and Jeong Hyekyung, to explain pending projects and request their support.
In particular, he focused on explaining the feasibility and necessity of the projects and actively proposed support at the National Assembly level for their smooth implementation.
The main projects for which support was requested include: ▲ Expansion of rural village sewage systems ▲ Improvement of technical diagnosis for the Naeri livestock manure public treatment facility ▲ Creation of green rainwater infrastructure at the Sancheong County Office and public stadium ▲ Maintenance of the Oksan district's natural disaster risk improvement area ▲ Comprehensive maintenance of the Daepo district's flood-prone living area, all aimed at improving the living conditions of county residents.
The county plans to establish close cooperation with lawmakers to ensure that as many pending projects as possible are reflected in next year's government budget, including through this visit to the National Assembly.
Governor Lee stated, "Although it is difficult to secure the national budget due to the government's sound fiscal policy, we will continue to develop policies in connection with the central government and frequently visit ministries and the National Assembly until next year's budget is finalized. We will make every effort to secure funding so that projects can proceed without setbacks and realize a happy Sancheong for all."
