Dankook University Hospital conducted the "2024 Code Pink Drill," an emergency code issued in the event of child disappearance or abduction. The scene shows the command center directing the drill.

Dankook University Hospital announced on the 10th that it conducted the "2024 Code Pink Drill," an emergency code issued in the event of a child abduction or missing child situation.

The drill, held on the 9th, simulated a scenario in which a child admitted to a ward goes missing. It was carried out according to action guidelines such as "receiving a missing child report - disseminating the situation (issuing Code Pink) - taking action in response."

The staff member who received the missing child report requested a Code Pink announcement, and the call center staff broadcast information throughout the hospital regarding the location where the child went missing and the child's physical description. Subsequently, all staff responded to Code Pink by checking hospital visitors, conducting patrols, inspecting vehicles at parking lot exits, and monitoring public transportation such as buses, thereby strengthening surveillance in the surrounding area.

The response team and staff who received the missing child report conducted patrols and vehicle inspections. During these activities, they discovered a vehicle confirmed to have the child inside attempting to flee. They immediately notified the central control room and reported the situation to the police, thereby concluding the drill by handing over the situation.

Kim Jaeil, the hospital director, stated, "We will continue to pay greater attention to protecting children, who are vulnerable members of society, and will regularly conduct and review this drill to ensure that any missing child incident within the hospital can be resolved promptly."
