Renault Korea's new car 'Grand Koleos,' released after 4 years, has recorded over 7,000 pre-orders.
According to Renault Korea on the 9th, the number of Grand Koleos pre-orders nationwide during the 7 business days following the vehicle's unveiling on the 27th of last month totaled 7,135 units. Despite the price and driving information not being disclosed yet, this number of reservations exceeds expectations.
The Renault Grand Koleos, known by the development project codename 'Aurora1,' is a mid-size hybrid sport utility vehicle (SUV).
Based on the CMA platform, 18% of the body is composed of ultra-high-strength 'Hot Press Forming (HPF)' parts to enhance safety. It is equipped with up to 31 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and features Level 2 autonomous driving capability with 'Active Driver Assist' as a standard feature across all trims.
This vehicle is the first domestic model to expand the display to the front passenger seat with the 'openR Panorama Screen.' Three 12.3-inch screens smoothly extend from the driver's seat to the front passenger seat. The front passenger can independently use YouTube, music streaming services, and more via OTT services or web browsers by connecting Bluetooth earphones.
The Renault Grand Koleos will be launched with two powertrain options: hybrid and gasoline. The hybrid model delivers a class-leading system maximum output of 245 horsepower. Renault Korea is currently accepting pre-orders and plans to disclose pricing and proceed with official contracts after mid-July.
