Icheon-si Awards 6 Outstanding Public Officials for Proactive Administration

Gyeonggi-do Icheon City announced on the 8th that it selected six people as the 'Outstanding Public Officials for Proactive Administration in the Second Half of 2023' and held an awards ceremony on the 5th.

The city received cases of proactive administration from all departments for the second half of 2023 and selected 10 candidates for outstanding public officials in the first preliminary screening. Then, through the review and resolution of the Proactive Administration Committee, six were finally selected.

At this awards ceremony, Yeohyeon-dong, Team Leader of the Corporate Economy Division, who achieved large-scale investment attraction by resolving corporate regulations in the natural conservation area through the designation of the Development Promotion District, along with one other, received the 'Grand Prize.'

Following that, the 'Excellence' award went to Kim Young-jae, Manager, and four others for establishing new location standards for warehouse facilities, including preparing integrated review criteria for distribution-type district unit plans and warehouse facility development permits; and Kim Jin-yong, Myeonjang, and one other for launching the demand-responsive bus (DRT) called "Ddok Bus." The 'Encouragement' award was given to Park Jeong-won, Manager, and two others for installing the nation's first Together Care Center within a military facility; Park Hyun-cheol, Officer, for integrating the CCTV system and introducing intelligent technology; and Kim Jin-yong, Myeonjang, and two others for building Icheon City's Intelligent Transportation System (ITS).

The city will grant additional points in performance evaluations as personnel incentives to the awardees. A city official stated, "We will continue to establish a culture of proactive administration within the public service and continuously discover outstanding cases."
