Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation (KOMSCO) has collaborated with the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee to launch the ‘Paris Olympics Team Korea Support Gold Card’.
According to KOMSCO on the 8th, the Gold Card was produced by combining a profile photo of a Paris Olympics national athlete in the form of a photo card with a 1g pure gold round medal guaranteed by KOMSCO.
The gold medal is engraved with the Team Korea logo and the slogan ‘To the world, Be the best.’ The Gold Card also includes a pictogram indicating the athlete’s event and a cheering message.
In particular, KOMSCO explained that the card design, featuring the athlete wearing the gold medal around their neck, expresses both an element of fun and the desire for the national team’s success.
The Gold Card is made from low-weight gold products, which have recently gained popularity due to rising gold prices, providing an opportunity for small-scale investment.
The Gold Card will be available for pre-order from the 8th to the 19th through the KOMSCO online mall (www.koreamint.com), Pocket CU (CU convenience store app), H Mall, The Hyundai.com, Lotte ON, Poongsan Hwadoyanghaeng, and others. Shipping will begin sequentially from the 22nd, and from the 29th of this month, it will be available for regular purchase through the same sales channels.
KOMSCO plans to use part of the proceeds from the Gold Card sales to support the development of Korea’s sports industry and individual sports disciplines.
