31 Years, 5,000 Units... Hyundai's 'Sales Master' Director Baek Jong-won

Selected as the 20th Top Sales Master... Annual Sales of 160 Units

Hyundai Motor Company has announced its twentieth 'Sales Master' who has surpassed cumulative sales of 5,000 units.

Hyundai Motor revealed on the 8th that Sales Manager Baek Jong-won of the Gwangju Suwan Jungbu branch was selected as a 'Sales Master.'

Manager Baek, who joined the company in 1993, surpassed cumulative sales of 5,000 units last month after 31 years. This averages to about 160 units sold per year. He was the regional sales champion from 2008 to 2011 and in 2013, and achieved national sales champion titles in 2017, 2021, and 2022. Since 2008, he has also been selected as 'Top Class' for selling more than 120 units annually for 16 consecutive years.

Meanwhile, Hyundai Motor operates a sales honor reward system to encourage employees who do their best in the sales field and to enhance their honor and pride.

Accordingly, based on cumulative sales, the titles and various awards including vehicles are given as follows: 'Sales Artisan' upon reaching 2,000 units, 'Sales Expert' at 3,000 units, 'Sales Master' at 4,000 units, and 'Sales Grandmaster' at 5,000 units. Since Hyundai Motor's founding in 1967 until April of this year, 19 people have been selected as Sales Grandmasters. Manager Baek is the twentieth to receive this title.

Sales Manager Baek said, "I am very happy to have my efforts over 31 years of sales activities recognized. I want to thank my family who always cheered me on whenever I felt exhausted, struggled, or wanted to give up, and I want to share this honor with my customers and colleagues who have generously supported me so far."
