Park Namcheol, Director of Urology at Busan Centum General Hospital, Achieves World Record with 1,900 Vasectomy Reversals Microscopic vasovasostomy procedure in progress.

In the current national context of a severe ultra-low birthrate crisis, vasovasostomy is once again highlighting the importance of medical interventions for restoring fertility, as it offers a surgical solution to correct male infertility factors among infertile couples who are ready for childbirth and parenting.

Dr. Park emphasized, "It is urgent to address issues such as the reality where vasectomy, a permanent contraceptive procedure, is performed indiscriminately on single men or childless couples, the stagnation in establishing a national gamete bank for the social cryopreservation of sperm and eggs to preserve fertility, and the national health insurance reimbursement system that falls far short of covering actual costs. These problems must be resolved swiftly so that infertile couples can have easier and broader access to medical options for achieving fertility."
