Eradicating Overcharging During Vacation Season

Up to 20% Cashback for Using Fair-Priced Businesses

Gohung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Young-min) announced that it will make every effort to stabilize prices during the summer vacation season.

The county has established and is implementing a price stabilization management plan for the summer vacation season to overcome the ongoing high interest rates and high inflation situation and to establish a sound commercial order within the jurisdiction.

The detailed implementation plans include ▲ a relay campaign for price stabilization during the summer vacation season ▲ formation of a price inspection team to monitor price trends during the summer vacation season ▲ encouragement of the use of reasonably priced stores ▲ price display for personal services at vacation spots and eradication of overcharging ▲ operation of an overcharging report center, among others.

The county is fully committed to stabilizing prices during the summer vacation season, starting with a public-private joint price stabilization campaign held on the 4th in the downtown area of Gohung-eup, attended by about 30 people including the Department of Economic Industry, Gohung-eup, the Gohung Traditional Market Merchants Association, and price monitoring personnel. Relay campaigns are being promoted in 16 eup and myeon districts, and a full inspection of personal service businesses and vacation spot prices within the jurisdiction is underway, with plans to actively respond to reports of overcharging.

In addition, to reduce the economic burden on residents, the county is conducting a special event throughout July where a 15% reward point is given when paying with the Gohung Love Card or mobile Gohung Love Gift Certificate at affiliated stores of the Gohung Love Gift Certificate. Especially for reasonably priced stores, an additional 5% cashback is provided when paying with the card or mobile Gohung Love Gift Certificate, making it possible to receive up to 20% cashback through this event.

A county official said, “We will do our best to stabilize prices so that our residents can breathe easier during the vacation season amid the high inflation situation.”
