Recently, the volume of apartment transactions in Seoul has surged, and the number of complexes recovering to previous peak prices is increasing, showing a clear recovery trend.


According to the Seoul Real Estate Information Plaza on the 1st, the volume of apartment transactions in Seoul in May (based on contract date) totaled 4,935 units reported by the 29th of last month. This is the highest in three years since May 2021 (5,045 units) and also the largest transaction volume in three years and three months since February 2021 (5,435 units).


The price recovery is also significant. Two units of the 84㎡ exclusive area at Resentz in Songpa-gu were sold for 2.6 billion KRW on the 7th of last month. This price has recovered to 98% of the all-time high of 2.65 billion KRW recorded in April 2022. Ultra-high-end apartments such as Apgujeong Hyundai Apartment in Gangnam-gu and Nine One Hannam in Yongsan-gu are also continuously setting new record prices with each transaction.
