Jeonbuk National University Hospital Holds '30th Anniversary Ceremony of Incorporation'

Screening of "30 Years of Achievements and Changes" Video... Presentation of Plaques of Appreciation and Commendations

Jeonbuk National University Hospital (Director Yoo Hee-cheol) announced on the 5th that it held the '30th Anniversary Ceremony of Incorporation' at Moak Hall.

Jeonbuk National University Hospital marked the 30th anniversary of its incorporation on the 4th since its establishment as a corporate hospital. The hospital was authorized by the Ministry of Education on July 4, 1994, after repeated discussions to pursue autonomous management.

The ceremony began with a commemorative speech by Director Yoo Hee-cheol, followed by congratulatory remarks from Chairman Yang Oh-bong, the presentation of plaques of appreciation and commendations, screening of the 30th anniversary commemorative video, and a group photo session. Distinguished internal and external guests who attended included President Yang Oh-bong, Dean Yoo Mi-kyung of the College of Dentistry, Standing Auditor Lee Hae-sook, Director Kim Dae-gon of Imsil County Health and Medical Center, Chairman Yoon Bang-seop of the Development Support Association, Vice Chairman Park Sook-young, and former hospital directors An Deuk-su, Hwang Yong, Yang Doo-hyun, and Jeong Sung-hoo.

The 30th anniversary commemorative video featured interviews with former hospital directors since incorporation and reflected on the achievements and changes over the past 30 years, providing a moment to look back on the hospital’s history and seek future development directions for Jeonbuk National University Hospital. The ceremony was broadcast live on the hospital’s YouTube channel for employees who could not attend in person.

The plaque of appreciation was awarded to Hwang Yong, the 9th and 10th former hospital director. Commendations were presented to a total of 11 outstanding exemplary employees who contributed to the hospital’s development, including Choi Kang-hoon (Administration Department), Jo Rae-gil (Logistics Management Department), Kang Ok-kyung (Pharmacy Department), Kim Hwa-ok (Public Medical Department), Choi Ji-young (Nursing Department), Lee Hae-jung (Nursing Department), Park Song-hee (Infection Control Center), Choi Jung-sook (Medical Information Office), Kang Jung-ah (Radiology Department), Yoo Ae-young (Neurology Department), and Park Il (Information Technology Department).

Chairman Yang Oh-bong said, "I sincerely congratulate Jeonbuk National University Hospital on the 30th anniversary of its incorporation, which has led the remarkable development of regional medical services," and added, "I hope Jeonbuk National University Hospital will soar as a world-class hospital contributing to the improvement of human health beyond the region."

Director Yoo Hee-cheol stated, "Jeonbuk National University Hospital is a future-oriented medical institution providing the final treatment for essential critical care," and expressed hope that "through innovation and challenge, it will lead changes in the medical paradigm to become a trusted hospital and a glocal leader hospital that achieves substantial innovation."
