Establishment of Early Dementia Screening Room and Dementia Prevention Program Room
Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) announced that it has opened a branch of the Dobong-gu Dementia Safety Center in the Changdong area to improve local residents' access to dementia management services and eliminate dementia blind spots, and has begun full-scale operations.
With this opening, it is expected that the inconvenience of distant residents who had to come to the main Dementia Safety Center located in Banghak-dong for early dementia screening and participation in dementia management programs will be reduced.
The Dobong-gu Dementia Safety Center branch was established at 467-1, Chang 3-dong, with a total floor area of 197.46㎡. The facility includes ▲early dementia screening rooms ▲dementia prevention program rooms ▲a cafe for families of dementia patients on the basement first floor and the first and second floors above ground.
The operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Services such as ▲early dementia screening ▲dementia prevention programs ▲dementia patient family classes, which are conducted at the main Dementia Safety Center, are also available here.
Specialized projects for the branch will also be operated. The branch plans to provide companion dementia patient care services for dementia patients and their families.
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, “With the operation of the Dementia Safety Center branch, I hope local residents can receive closer and more diverse dementia management services,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to establish a dementia safety network.”
