Dongwon F&B announced on the 4th that it has launched 'Dongwon Bulchamchi,' the spiciest product in the 42-year history of its flagship product, Dongwon Tuna.

The new product contains tuna meat mixed with Vietnamese chili peppers and a special spicy sauce, offering a hot and tingling flavor. The Scoville Heat Unit (SHU), which indicates the level of spiciness, is approximately 3886 SHU, more than twice as high as the existing spicy version of Dongwon Tuna, Gochu Tuna (1935 SHU).

Dongwon Bulchamchi is packaged in a convenient 90g small portion, suitable for one meal. The company explained that it is good to eat directly with rice without additional cooking, mix with noodles, or enjoy as a side dish. It can also be stored at room temperature, making it easy to use during travel, camping, or hiking.

Recently, spicy food has gained popularity mainly among the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z), increasing interest in spicy K-food products both domestically and overseas. Dongwon F&B plans to actively export Dongwon Bulchamchi to the United States, Japan, Southeast Asia, and other regions to develop it as a representative K-food of Korea.

A Dongwon F&B official said, "We planned the spiciest tuna product in history targeting the MZ generation's 'Maepusim (spicy taste + pride)' and will continue the K-food craze by capturing not only domestic consumers but also foreign tastes with Dongwon Bulchamchi."

Meanwhile, Dongwon F&B also renewed its two existing seasoned tuna products, 'Jjajang Tuna' and 'Curry Tuna,' to better suit consumer tastes.
