This agreement was established to help regional companies grow by building a professional system in which leading institutions in Busan discover and support hidden companies with excellent data capabilities, providing financial and investment support, as well as data education and consulting.
The agreement includes plans to lead the overall innovative growth of the data industry through support for corporate data value assessment, data quality testing, and financial support for companies possessing outstanding data.
Through this agreement, BNK Financial Group plans to launch the nation’s first guarantee loan products that reflect data value assessment results at Busan Bank and Kyongnam Bank, while BNK Venture Investment will actively consider value assessment and quality certification results as preferential items during investment reviews.
Busan Metropolitan City plans to actively utilize a data certification system in its ongoing local specialized data exchange to enhance market credibility and ensure the distribution of high-quality data. Korea Technology Finance Corporation will promote a ‘value assessment’ project that evaluates the economic value of corporate data, while Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency will provide consulting through ‘data quality testing’ that assesses data errors and the adequacy of management systems.
Park Sungwook, Head of Future Digital Innovation at BNK Financial Group, said, “We expect this agreement to proactively discover hidden data companies and drive the growth of the regional data industry,” adding, “BNK Financial Group will continue to spare no effort in supporting companies with excellent data capabilities.”
