Olle-gil Extension and Improvement ... Opening Ceremony on July 2
Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) extended the G-Valley Olle-gil and held an opening ceremony on the 2nd.
The district, in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, created the G-Valley Olle-gil in 2022 around the Guro Digital Complex area (Digital-ro 32-gil 30, Digital-ro 30-gil 31, Digital-ro 30-gil 28). It consists of four themed paths: ▲Hyanggi Forest Path ▲Silver Forest Path ▲Maple Forest Path ▲Five-Color Flower Path, breaking down boundaries between buildings and creating walking trails and resting areas, transforming the area into a vibrant and beautiful street.
To further improve commuting routes and pedestrian environments for workers, the district refurbished the existing Olle-gil, which had been cut off at Mario Tower, while connecting Digital-ro 27-gil towards Namguro Station and the Daeryung 8th Arcade towards G Tower, completing the Olle-gil.
First, the flower bed and external stairs blocking the section between the crosswalk towards Namguro Station and the pedestrian path were refurbished, fully opening the entrance to the Olle-gil.
Upon entering, visitors are welcomed by a walking space transformed into a pleasant environment with improvements not only to the floor but also the ceiling and lighting, along with a small community space equipped with a beam projector.
The end of the passage leads to a fork where the Daeryung 8th Arcade towards G Tower and the Five-Color Flower Path towards Mario Tower meet. In particular, the Five-Color Flower Path was improved from a narrow and inconvenient gravel path to a wide deck path, with lighting significantly enhanced, making it more convenient and safer.
The district celebrated the opening on the 2nd and took time to tour the Olle-gil.
Moon Heon-il, Mayor of Guro-gu, expressed in his greeting, “I thank the surrounding knowledge industry centers and businesspeople who helped complete this section,” and added, “We will continue to make every effort so that G-Valley, the core of the nation’s advanced industries, becomes an industrial complex where people want to visit and work.”
