The Korea Forest Welfare Institute announced on the 2nd that it will hold a public contest for the ‘2025 Green Fund Support Project’ from the 15th to the 26th of this month.
The total project scale is 36 billion KRW. The Forest Welfare Institute will conduct the contest by dividing it into the ‘Vulnerable Area Green Infrastructure Expansion Project (24 billion KRW)’ to create indoor and outdoor forest environments and improve forest accessibility for mobility-impaired individuals, and the ‘Forest Experience and Education Support Project for Vulnerable Groups (12 billion KRW)’ which supports forest education and experiences for socially and economically disadvantaged groups.
Applications can be submitted by uploading project proposals and related documents through the Green Fund Integrated Management System within the application period.
For more detailed information about the contest, please refer to the notice posted on the Korea Forest Welfare Institute’s website.
Through the Green Infrastructure Expansion Project, the Korea Forest Welfare Institute has created 125.8 km of ‘Barrier-Free Sharing Trails’ across 130 locations nationwide. Additionally, in collaboration with specialized forest welfare service organizations and groups, it has provided forest healing, forest education, and other forest welfare services to more than 3 million vulnerable individuals annually.
Nam Tae-heon, President of the Korea Forest Welfare Institute, stated, “The Korea Forest Welfare Institute is continuously discovering and promoting public value projects that enhance forest accessibility for socially and economically disadvantaged groups and expand opportunities for forest experiences. We hope many people will show interest and participate in this public contest funded by the Lottery Fund so that more citizens can enjoy the happiness that forests provide.”
