Studio&New and Others Conduct Ninety-Seven Consultations
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency announced on the 2nd that they held 'UNOC 2024 in Anaheim' in the United States at the end of last month, achieving investment consultation results worth $12.17 million (approximately 17 billion KRW). The event was organized to help domestic content companies enter the global market. It supports overseas investment attraction and networking.
The event was held in conjunction with 'VidCon 2024,' the world's largest digital culture conference. Domestic content companies, selected through a competitive process with a ratio of 5 to 1, conducted 97 investment consultation sessions for intellectual property (IP) and new planning and production projects they own. Ten companies participated, including Glenngrim Media, Studio&New, Content Lab Blue, and Woojo Entertainment.
The Korea Creative Content Agency plans to hold 'UNOC' again in Singapore and Las Vegas, USA, in the second half of the year, starting with this event. Cho Hyun-rae, the head of the agency, said, "We hope that the inaugural UNOC this year will serve as a turning point to attract overseas investors' interest in K-content and to accelerate the global expansion of domestic content companies."
