Chosun University Selected for 17 Consecutive Years in the '2024 High School Education Contribution University Support Project'

Top University in Honam Region Receives 1.105 Billion Won in Funding

Chosun University (President Kim Chun-seong) has been selected for the '2024 University Support Project Contributing to High School Education' organized by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Council for University Education for the 17th consecutive year. Accordingly, it will receive the highest amount of 1.105 billion KRW among universities in the Honam region.

According to Chosun University on the 2nd, the 'University Support Project Contributing to High School Education' is a project that supports universities to operate college admission processes fairly and stably by reflecting high school education.

The current 3rd cycle (2022?2024) is underway, and this phase evaluation reviewed the results of the project operation from 2022 to 2023 and the implementation plans for university admissions for the 2025?2026 academic years, providing a total of 57.9 billion KRW to 92 universities.

Despite the decline in the school-age population, Chosun University has made efforts to design, improve, and stably operate college admission processes that reflect the high school curriculum.

Additionally, it has established a linkage system with local high schools and education offices to actively support the establishment of the high school credit system and the career exploration of local high school students.

Lee Sang-woo, Director of Admissions, said, “To pursue multifaceted high school-university linkage efforts, we reorganized the Admissions Research and Counseling Center this year. Through this year’s project, we will strengthen research on admission process design in response to the 2028 university entrance system reform and actively support local high schools with Chosun University’s infrastructure to ensure the successful establishment of the high school credit system.”
