At the party floor strategy meeting held at the National Assembly on the morning of the 2nd, Floor Leader Park stated, "The 19th marks the first anniversary of the fallen Marine," and pledged, "We will pass the Marine Special Prosecutor Act before the first anniversary." He continued, "The Democratic Party will uncover the truth through the Marine Special Prosecutor Act and a national audit to restore justice," emphasizing, "We will clearly identify who concealed and manipulated this case and carry out the people's mandate to punish those responsible severely."

The Democratic Party announced that even if the People Power Party delays the plenary session schedule by conducting a filibuster (a legal parliamentary obstruction), they will process the Marine Special Prosecutor Act as quickly as possible. Kim Yong-min, deputy floor policy chief, said, "To ensure a swift investigation, the Democratic Party will definitely pass the Special Prosecutor Act," adding, "The Special Prosecutor Act is scheduled to be submitted and processed in the plenary session today." Floor spokesperson Kang Yoo-jung stated, "Even if delayed, we will not stop (processing the Marine Special Prosecutor Act)," and "It will only be a delay in the vote, but the vote will definitely take place."

Floor Leader Park also mentioned the public petition requesting the impeachment motion against President Yoon Seok-yeol. He said, "About 900,000 citizens have participated in the National Assembly petition urging President Yoon's impeachment," calling it "a record-breaking speed." He added, "It is expected to surpass one million as early as today or by tomorrow at the latest." He further claimed, "President Yoon's mention of the possibility that the October 29 Itaewon tragedy was fabricated has poured fuel on the public's anger."
