A loess trail where visitors can walk barefoot has been created at Mookgok Ecological Forest (Seongcheol Park) in Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam, providing a new healing space.

According to Sancheong-gun on the 2nd, the construction of the loess trail and the renovation of children's sports facilities at Mookgok Ecological Forest in Danseong-myeon have been completed.

This project, which began in April, was carried out to improve the residential environment for local residents and to promote the health of visitors to Mookgok Ecological Forest. The loess trail, with a total project cost of 350 million KRW, is 760 meters long and 1.5 meters wide.

The loess trail, located under a pine forest, is surrounded by various plants such as Liriope and Lycoris, offering a variety of sights. There are also foot-washing facilities, and the paving and coating of the children's inline skating rink have been completed.

In particular, the floor of the inline skating rink features the Sancheong-gun tourism characters 'San Neomeo Chingudeul' (Heungi, Somi, Sani, Eolsu), adding both fun and safety. Sancheong-gun expects that the newly established loess trail will become a healing space, offering new experiences and attractions.

Governor Lee Seunghwa said, "With the completion of this project, a space has been created where people can enjoy various attractions while taking care of their health," and added, "We hope many people will participate and create new memories."

Meanwhile, Mookgok Ecological Forest, established in 2010, covers an area of 14 hectares and is home to about 150,000 trees and herbaceous plants. It also features children's playgrounds, a grass yard, a wetland ecological garden, parking lots, and convenience facilities. With Seongcheol monk's birthplace and its proximity to Jinju city, it is gaining attention as a resting space near the urban area.
