Bada, Please Take Care of Summer... Opening of Ilgwang and Imrang Beaches in Gijang

Busan Gijang-gun Hosts Various Events for the Start of the Vacation Season on the 1st

Gijang-gun, Busan (Governor Jung Jongbok) announced on the 1st that Ilgwang Beach and Imrang Beach will be open for two months from July 1 to August 31 to mark the summer vacation season.


The county will hold opening ceremonies at Ilgwang Beach and Imrang Beach on July 1, officially beginning beach operations for the season.


During the opening period, one Seaside Administrative Service Center will be operated at each of Ilgwang and Imrang Beaches. At each center, county staff and medical personnel will be stationed at all times to handle visitor complaints and provide emergency first aid support.


Additionally, the county plans to maintain a safe and pleasant beach environment by utilizing 26 personnel for beach facility maintenance, ensuring that restrooms, foot-washing stations, showers, and other amenities are kept clean and functional at all times.


Jung Jongbok, Governor of Gijang-gun, stated, "We are making thorough preparations to create beaches that local residents and tourists will want to visit again," and added, "I hope everyone enjoys the beautiful sea of Gijang while experiencing its natural wonders, local cuisine, and attractions."


To provide enjoyment for vacationers, Gijang-gun will host a variety of cultural events during the opening period. At Ilgwang Beach, the Gijang Gaetmaeul Festival (July 27~28) and Ilgwang Romantic Song Festival (August 2~4) will be held, while at Imrang Beach, the Gijang Imrang Summer Music Festival (August 24~25) will take place.
