Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Yoon Byung-tae) will implement the "Tenant Small Business Card Fee Support Project" as a new initiative in 2024 to stabilize the management of small business owners.
According to the city on the 1st, this project was originally scheduled to be announced in February, but it was changed to be promoted from this month, the second half of the year, in line with the confirmation timing of the taxpayer data such as last year's sales.
The support target is tenant small business owners located in the jurisdiction with an annual sales of 100 million KRW or less in 2023. Those who are closed as of the announcement date or belong to "small business policy fund loan exclusion industries" are excluded from the support target.
Applications can be submitted by visiting or mailing to the Naju City Job and Economy Division or the town, township, or neighborhood office where the business is located by September 30.
The support amount is up to 300,000 KRW (0.5% of last year's card sales). After reviewing the eligibility of the recipients, Naju Sarang Gift Certificates will be distributed sequentially from November. Mobile payment is the principle, but paper certificates are also possible if mobile payment is not available.
Mayor Yoon Byung-tae said, "I hope the Tenant Small Business Card Fee Support Project will help the management of tenant small business owners who are vulnerable to economic instability, even if only a little," and added, "We will continue to do our best to revitalize the local economy."
