Preparation for Continuous Weather Deterioration and Prevention of Coastal Safety Accidents
Mokpo Maritime Police Station (Chief Kwon Oh-seong) announced on the 1st that it has issued a safety accident risk forecast system "Advisory" from the 29th of last month until the weather warning is lifted, due to the heightened risk of coastal safety accidents caused by bad weather.
The safety accident risk forecast system is a system that informs the public in advance of the risk when safety accidents are expected to occur in coastal waters due to bad weather or natural disasters during specific periods. It is issued in three stages according to severity: Interest, Advisory, and Warning.

The "Advisory" stage issued this time is a forecast stage issued when safety accidents and damage expansion are expected due to bad weather or natural disasters in coastal waters.
The Maritime Police are providing real-time publicity and safety information using electronic display boards at local governments and branch offices, as the risk of coastal accidents such as falling into the sea due to bad weather increases. During the issuance period, they are strengthening sea and land patrols focusing on dangerous areas in coastal waters, ports, harbors, and rocky shores, and are making every effort to prevent coastal safety accidents.
A Mokpo Maritime Police official said, "We continuously ask for careful attention to prevent marine accidents from occurring in the vicinity of the jurisdiction during bad weather."
