LS Cable & System Supports 100 Million KRW for Low Birthrate Overcoming Projects in Donghae-si, Gangwon

Support for Infant and Toddler Care and Elementary School Student Educational Activities

LS Cable announced on the 1st that it will support 100 million KRW for the 'Overcoming Low Birthrate' project in Donghae City, Gangwon Province, through the Community Chest of Korea.

At the donation ceremony held at Donghae City Hall on the same day, Yeosangcheol, head of LS Cable's Donghae factory, and Shim Gyu-eon, mayor of Donghae, attended.

LS Cable plans to support infant care and educational activities for vulnerable elementary school students in cooperation with the Donghae City Family Center and the Korea Youth Development Association Donghae branch.

Following last year, LS Cable participated in the 'Support Project for Families of Abused Children, Sharing of Love.' The project aims to promote the emotional stability of affected children and strengthen family functions.

Factory head Yeosangcheol said, "As a representative company of Donghae City, we will contribute to spreading a positive child-rearing culture."

LS Cable established a relationship with Donghae City, Gangwon Province, by building a specialized submarine cable factory in 2009. Last month, it confirmed an additional investment of about 100 billion KRW for the expansion of Haeseo 5-dong. So far, it has invested approximately 1 trillion KRW.
