People Power Party 36.7%, Democratic Party 34.1%
President Yoon Suk-yeol's approval rating for his administration has remained in the low 30% range for 12 consecutive weeks. Last week, President Yoon's approval rating slightly declined.
According to a public opinion poll released on the 1st by polling firm Realmeter (commissioned by Energy Economy Newspaper, conducted from the 24th to the 28th of last month, targeting 2,511 voters aged 18 and over nationwide, using wireless (97%) and wired (3%) automated response telephone (ARS) survey method), President Yoon's approval rating was 31.6%, down 0.5 percentage points compared to the previous week's survey. Although President Yoon's approval rating rebounded last week, it turned downward again this week. The disapproval rating decreased by 1.0 percentage point to 64.0%.
Notably, President Yoon's approval rating among those in their 20s dropped by 5.7 percentage points (from 26.7% to 21.0%). Additionally, support among conservatives fell by 3.6 percentage points (from 59.4% to 55.8%).
In the party approval rating poll (commissioned by Energy Economy Newspaper, conducted from the 27th to 28th of last month, targeting 1,004 voters aged 18 and over nationwide, using wireless (97%) and wired (3%) automated response telephone (ARS) survey method), the People Power Party's support rose by 0.5 percentage points to 36.7%, while the Democratic Party of Korea fell by 3.1 percentage points to 34.1%. Following were the Party for National Innovation, which increased by 1.5 percentage points to 12.2%, and the Reform Party, which rose by 0.6 percentage points to 5.4%.
