For SKT Customers Using Galaxy
'AI Tag' Developed with Proprietary Technology
Tags Messages by Type
A new feature that distinguishes harmful messages such as smishing and spam will be added to the PC version of 'Chat Plus,' which allows Galaxy phone users to send and receive text messages on their PC even when their phone is turned off.
On the 1st, SK Telecom announced that it will introduce a new 'Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tag' feature in the Chat Plus PC version, providing tagging functionality that makes it easy to distinguish message types.
The Chat Plus PC version allows users to receive and send texts using a PC keyboard without turning on their phone. It can be used by linking the PC and smartphone for SKT customers with supported Galaxy models. Support is being rolled out sequentially starting from the Galaxy S23 series.
The AI Tag service uses an AI engine developed directly by SKT to analyze the content of each message and automatically attach a tag at the bottom of the message. For example, harmful messages such as gambling, spam, and impersonation are marked with a red tag. Informational and benefit-related messages, such as point expiration notices or reservation alerts, receive a blue tag.
Guidance text is also displayed to improve message classification accuracy, and users can gather messages with the same type of tag to view or delete them all at once.
To use the AI Tag feature, update the Chat Plus PC version application to the latest version, then activate the feature in the 'Lab' tab located at the bottom left of the home screen.
An event is being held where all customers who update the Chat Plus PC version app and apply will receive exclusive emoticons that can only be used on the PC version for free.
Among the applicants, a promotion will be conducted to provide 10,000 new subscribers to the Chat Plus PC version with a 5,000 KRW gift certificate for Baedal Minjok on a first-come, first-served basis.
