The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has established and implemented a unified system for sending common home correspondence to parents starting from July.
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will fully implement the unified distribution of common home correspondence for parents starting in July.
The unified distribution of common home correspondence for parents means that the Office of Education or the Education Support Office will send the home correspondence directly to parents without going through the schools.
Until now, common home correspondence for parents was guided to parents by school staff after internal approval, through the school's website and the school (parent) notification app. This caused a workload burden on schools and sometimes resulted in delays or omissions in sending.
To improve this, the Provincial Office of Education has built a system by Education Support Office since January, linking it with the notification service. The system has been sequentially launched and pilot-operated in each Education Support Office where it was completed, preparing for full implementation.
With the unified distribution of common home correspondence for parents, various notices can be delivered to parents more quickly and accurately.
Kim Seungho, the School Work Improvement Officer at the Provincial Office of Education, said, "The unified distribution of home correspondence will reduce the workload burden at schools," and added, "We will continue to make efforts so that schools can focus on educational activities."
