Ailing was living a happy life doing what she loved when she suddenly experienced fever and abdominal pain. After visiting the hospital, her symptoms did not improve, so she went back to the hospital two days later.

She explained, "At first, I thought it was food poisoning and was prescribed medicine. When I returned to the hospital, the doctor said something was wrong and sent me to the emergency room, and I soon lost consciousness."

The medical staff told Ailing, who woke up from a coma, that she was infected with bacteria and her heart was not functioning properly. They suggested she receive injections to promote blood flow and help maintain normal brain function.

After receiving the injections, Ailing survived, but sepsis caused by the bacterial infection led to necrosis of the cells in her limbs. Her hands and legs turned black, became heavy, and she could not move them. Eventually, Ailing had to have her limbs amputated.

Ailing used all her life savings of 308.5 million won for medical expenses. Having lost her limbs, she could no longer work, and with her money depleted, she was barely able to purchase prosthetic limbs.

She fell into depression due to the difficult circumstances, but regained courage with the help of her family, friends, and former workplace. While Ailing was hospitalized, the beauty salon partially supported her medical expenses, and her family came to Singapore to take care of her.

Ailing said, "At first, it was hard to accept that I had lost my limbs, and I didn’t want to meet my friends. But their support was a great strength, and I thought I had to be strong for them. I want to find a job I can do in Singapore. I also want to help others who have had similar experiences."

As Ailing’s story spread, local netizens also sent messages of support. They wrote, "Don’t give up and keep moving forward. Our lives always have a purpose," and "Your story has inspired many people who feel despair about life."
