"Emergency Situation Occurs" ... Changwon Citizen Sports Center Conducts Emergency Response Drill at Swimming Pool

The Citizen Sports Center under the Changwon Facilities Corporation in Gyeongnam conducted a practical simulation drill to prepare for emergency situations in the swimming pool.

This drill, organized jointly with the Sinwol 119 Safety Center of the Seongsan Fire Station to improve the ability to respond to safety accidents in the swimming pool, was attended by about 40 people including center staff, users, and members of organizations for people with disabilities.

The drill, held on the 28th, simulated a situation in which a member receiving swimming lessons suffered a drowning accident due to sudden cardiac arrest, demonstrating the process from rescue, calling 119, performing CPR and using an AED, to handing over to the 119 emergency team.

This is the third drill conducted by the Citizen Sports Center, following the first drowning accident simulation in February and the second in April.

Team leader Kang Kyunghwan said, "We will do our best to make the swimming pool a safer place where we can protect the precious lives of citizens through continuous simulation drills."
